+ DESIGNERS +
Anders Nørgaard is one of the few contemporary Danish designers who has received international awards and
recognition. He has a unique talent for designing modular sofa concepts that look great no matter how you put them together
and he is behind some of the most popular and flexible BoConcept sofas. "I love sofas. They form the ideal gathering point in most
homes and they are the heroes of the living room", says Anders.
Henrik Pedersen graduated as a fashion designer in 1990 but uses his education to explore the full range of design. His interest in mathematics, along with his broad experience, gives him an intuitive ability to quickly assess whether a new design will work or not. "Experience and knowledge help, but the difference lies in how you use it. Good common sense and a passion for your craft will take you far."
Morten Georgsen designs stylish furniture with multiple functions. He optimizes the production process to make it as cost- efficient as possible without compromising the look. As Morten says: "What good is beautiful design if it never gains widespread acceptance? By the end of the day, furnishing is a practical need that we all have, and in that sense, we all deserve good style and quality that works."
Karim Rashid is one of the most creative and prolific designers of his generation. His impressive portfolio includes more than 3,000 designs in production ranging from furniture and accessories to store designs and luxury goods. The unique design that Karim has created for BoConcept combines functionality and sensual minimalism and it has won a Good Design TM Award for the table and chair.
Oki Sato is Japanese, but his huge talent and distinct design touch have made him widely recognized on the international design scene. In 2012 he was announced Designer Of The Year by Wallpaper Magazine and awarded the Elle Deco International Award. Oki Sato is the man behind the fusion collection for BoConcept - a unique design collection that is inspired by origami and fusing different elements. It is the perfect blend of two great design cultures: Japanese aesthetics and Danish functionality.
From his studio in Barcelona, designer Mario Ruiz embraces many fields of product design: furniture, technology, lighting, office and applied graphics; revolutionizing the office design field. His work has been recognized with more than 30 international awards, including several IF, Red Dot, Design Plus, Wallpaper 08 and Neocon Awards 08.
They have innovated within the office sector with the design of the Flap line. They are recognized for their broad and extensive experience in the sector.
After having completed his training as industrial designer, Norbert Geelen started freelancing at the Italian Studio Mattheo Thun in Milan. Together with Robert Kilders, he founded the design studio bert&bert in 1997, working both in Germany and in Italy. Though he has designed a wide variety of distinct products, he has specialized in furniture design, mainly high- quality seating and tables.
Antonio Scaffidi graduated together with Mads K. Johansen from the Danish Design School. Whereas Antonio Scaffidi benefits from the symbiosis between his fiery Italian temperament and Nordic culture, Mads K. Johansen is driven by his artistic passion as cabinet maker. In their opinion, a good-looking design does not necessarily equal a good product. Good design is the interplay of creative ideas, meticulous planning, careful selection and incorporation of materials, and the inclusion of the manufacturer’s experience and know-how. Mads K. Johansen died in a car accident in the fall of 2014.
After having successfully completed his apprenticeship as furniture maker, he studied industrial design at the Muthesius College in Kiel where he was awarded 1st prize at the “Du Pont Design Award” for students. Two years later, he won the Du Pont Design Award a second time and received a special mention at the Holzbau-Förderpreis. After the successful completion of his studies, he became assistant to Prof. Hans Ell in Kassel. Since 1999, Robert de le Roi has been the head of the Product Development Department at Kusch+Co.
His biodynamic design of organic shapes has exerted strong influence on the international design scene over the past 50 years. The lounge chair he designed for Kusch +co in 1968 remains a design icon. He studied aerodynamics at the Sorbonne in Paris and completed his training in California. In 2002, he inaugurated the Colani Design Center in Germany, with a research laboratory in the annexe building. He has designed for many well-known manufacturers in the automotive industry, like Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, VW and BMW.
An Argentine architect and designer based in Barcelona, Jorge Pensi is one of the main references of contemporary industrial design, backed by major awards: two ADI-FAD Silver Deltas (both in 1988), the IMPIVA Award (1989), Stuttgart Design-Auswahl (1990) and the inclusion of his Toledo chair (Amat, 1988) in the Vitra Design Museum Collection.

For 2016, BoConcept finds inspiration where sea meets sky. Color is the center of a free-spirit home. The intensity of a summer sky's blue and the clarity of blue ocean water bring new light to the basic tones and add a touch of joy to the sand, beige and gray colors. Metallic shades like gold and bronze add brightness; a touch of glass adds transparency, while some white accents create points of light. For 2016, BoConcept focuses on organic forms, sensuous textures and soft tones.Curves wil...Ver más
